i saw an interview with dana white the owner of ufc...he was talking about this on some sports show and he mentioned that the dept. of homeland security was involved in this matter..great,like dhs doesn't have anything more important to do

the reason i bring up the next GPU client is b/c i've heard it will be better with ATI cards than the current client. now i'm not sure if the ATI cards will pass nvidia or not though (i doubt it, but i'm just not sure).
right now intel is better than amd for folding, but that doesn't mean you can't fold with it.
with intel, if you go with let's say an i3 or i5 processor, you can always upgrade later. but keep in mind that i3, i5, and i7 860 use a different socket than the i7 920/930 and up.
Ahh stuff it I will spend roughly 900-1100 US dollars, so if you had that kind of money what would you get, don't need a screen, nor Windows 7. I appreciate your thought and help.

New day, same old issues.

I set my NAS boxes up with a static IP address, then mount them automatically (using login items) and they've never had a problem connecting....sounds like your NAS's IP adress might have changed (using DHCP means they won't necessarily get the same IP address every time) from when you set up the login item to the next time you tried to mount it.

I don't want a boring DVD. I want Lion to come on one of those cool MacBook Air-style memory sticks, only compatible with ThunderBolt.
I too think a USB installation stick would be cool, but easy to lose, I'd imagine! On the flip-side, you can scratch DVDs.

I miss the days when I could order an 8 pack of eMacs for our school for $4995. That comes out to less than $625 each. Now the cheapest computer I can get from Apple is $899 for the 20" iMac, (maybe $825 if I buy 25 or so and sweet talk my account rep). That's like a $5000-7000 difference for a lab of 25. Not small peanuts by any means when it comes to school budgets.
This $20 discount is a kick in the nuts from Apple. They'll still charge us 29 bucks for each stupid dongle and make that right back. (cue Clark Griswold rant)

So when everyone buys hybrids and the gas tax revenue dries up we will be forced to pay for how far we drive.The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has a suggestion for raising money to fix the nation�s highways: tax drivers based on how many miles they drive each year.
In a report written in response to a request from Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad (D-North Dakota), the CBO laments about the shortfall in the federal budget�s appropriation for highway maintenance and reckons it�s time drivers start footing the bill based on how often their foot is on the gas pedal. The driver would be charged according to the number of vehicle miles traveled (VMT) above that which he is allowed under appropriately promulgated guidelines.
The 26-page study is entitled (none to cleverly) �Alternative Approaches to Funding Highways� and goes into some detail regarding the new tax scheme and the benefits and challenges thereof.

Over the weekend I was in the Philly Walnut store to see just how much thicker the white was over the black. You can instantly notice the white phone was thicker and my friend said, "wow and it feels heavier too."

Not sure if i like the gloss black. I remember seeing PS3s that were covered in smudges and streaks. My current 360 can be cleaned fairly easy.
I also don't know about using the wifi. Its just a few more milliseconds to add onto the latency. Playing FPS I can tell the difference between 70ms, and >50ms. I had DSL and then cable last summer and could tell a difference. Round a corner and you are dead before you can even touch the trigger.
I do like how they made it smaller, and if they can quiet down the dvd drive that would be very nice. Bigger hard drive is about time. My 20GB is full just from downloading maps for Halo and COD.

Trackpad is larger and provides more space for fingers than the touchscreen would when you're utilizing those gestures. Difference between a swipe and a full-hand pinch.
Maybe you have really abnormally large fingers! :D
